Reaching Your Full PotentialIn order for us to reach our full potential so we can fulfill the purpose God has for our life we need to be balance and healthy in our spirit, soul, and body. When we are out of balanced, we open the door for the enemy to devour, to steal, kill and destroy.
Be well balanced and always alert, because your enemy, the devil, roams around incessantly, like a roaring lion looking for its prey to devour.—1 Peter 5:8 TPT
In order to be balanced, it is important that we are healthy not just physically and emotionally, but also spiritually in order for us to achieve God’s best for our life. I love how 1 Peter 4:7 encourages us to be intentional, purposeful and self-controlled when pursuing God best.
Since we are approaching the end of all things, be intentional, purposeful, and self-controlled so that you can be given to prayer.—1 Peter4:7 TPT
We need to become people of prayer, who are steadfast to study His Word, and purposeful in putting God first in everything we do. When we do this we will reap a number of benefits that includes having our efforts crowned with success.
In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success.—Proverbs 3:6 TLB
I remember what it was like before smart phone cameras and digital cameras. My camera used film that had to be to be taken to a processor to develop so I could have prints made from the roll of film.
In the same way, God has placed potential inside all of us. Knowing that the potential is there is not enough. We need to allow God to develop that potential in us, to reveal the plans He has for us and walk them out. It might mean eating better, and exercise regularly. It might also include being mindful of what you are thinking about, and what you are talking about.
It might require that you be still and know that He is God so He can reveal the plans He has for you and have the vision and direction needed to pursue your purpose.
If some fail to do what God requires, it’s as if they forget the word as soon as they hear it. One minute they look in the mirror, and the next they forget who they are and what they look like.—James 1:23-24 VOICE
I guarantee when you allow God to keep you fit in your spirit, soul, and body, you will begin to reach your full potential and really enjoy life, so you can have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).
Blessings,
